Down the Lane
|
The Hollick 'down the lane' Cabernet Sauvignon blend celebrates the blending of superb Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon with Coonawarra Merlot and Wrattonbully Shiraz, to make an wine ideal for consumption upon release. The name 'down the lane' is a modern interpretation of the Hollick Pride of Place ethos, and is eactly where these varieties are planted, down the lane from the original Hollick vineyard. The label depicts Mel and Kate Hollick on their bicycles heading 'down the lane' to the vineyard as children accompanied by their trusty kelpie, Winnie or Trixie, or more recently, Mel's black and tan kelpie Sass. This wine is ideally consumed with a variety of red meat dishes, a range of pastas, or is great just on its own. |
