'Stock Route' Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

It is these uniquely Australian wine blends of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon that helped make Australian wine famous. The Hollick Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon is made in a style that gives early drinkability and medium term cellaring potential.

Included in the Hollick portfolio of wines since 1995, the 2008 vintage of the Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon was aptly named 'Stock Route' to pay tribute to the heritage associated with this wine and its source vineyards. 'Stock Route' is named after the higher ground that now houses the Riddoch Highway and joins the Coonawarra and Wrattonbully Wine regions.

The Shiraz component is primarily sourced from the Hollick Wrattonbully vineyard, with Coonawarra Shiraz playing a supporting role. The Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon imparts classic Coonawarra Cabernet characteristics alongside the aromatic Wrattonbully Shiraz to make a great wine for early consumption.
