Sauvignon Blanc Savagnin Semillon

Traditionally made from estate grown Coonawarra Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon this wine is produced with early consumption in mind. In 2010 we made the unprecedented move and added Savagnin to our white wine blend to give it an added lift.

The wine shows typical tropical and herbaceous characters from the Sauvignon Blanc, lifted pear from the Savagnin, and beautiful crisp, citrus and straw characters from the Semillon. It is fermented to dryness, but has intense fruit flavour and a rich full palate.

A great wine to enjoy on its own or with a nice fresh goats cheese salad, with antipasto or seafood with an Asian influence.

2010 Vintage Reviews

"Well-made, with a nice balance of gently tropical fruit with the lemony bite of Semillon, and some minerality on the finish." - James Halliday, Wine Companion

"In your face with lemon soap, tropicals and honeycomb but driven with energy and, though concentrated has lightness.  Though primary fruit driven, there is early complexity from the blend." 90 points - Mike Bennie, Wine Business Monthly, Sept 2011

"Plenty of stone fruits and a squeeze of lemon citrus make for a brisk, refreshing white wine.  Its well made and shows handy freshness and balance." - Nick Stock, Good Wine Guide 2012
