Hollick Wines was awarded the Best Business Award at the 2010 Influential Women in Business Awards announced on Friday 4th June at Mount Gambier.
Mel and Kate Hollick accepted the award on behalf of their mother Wendy Hollick who speaking from China said “We are delighted that we have been recognised for our contribution to the Limestone Coast and this award recognises all the hard work done by the entire team at Hollick.”
The Influential Women in Business Awards recognises Limestone Coast women who have made significant professional achievements to the Limestone Coast region. Hollick Wines has made some considerable achievements over the last 12 months including raising $14,000 for research into the rare disease Lymphangioleiomyomatosis, donating $7,000 to supply park equipment to Gallipoli Park at Marysville a town devastated by the 2009 Victorian Bushfires and participated in a carbon emissions audit conducted by Think Climate to identify energy waste, improved sustainability management and investigate green credentials. We have also made regular donations to local clubs and hosted a number of international wine industry visitors and participated in a number of regional tourism initiatives including the Taste the Limestone Coast Festival, Coonawarra Roadshow, Coonawarra Vignerons Association events and production of the Limestone Coast Real Food Guide.
The entire Hollick team is elated with this award.
