Feast for the Senses Success
David and Mel, along with Hollick friend Georgie spent last weekend at the Feast for the Senses celebration in Elder Park Adelaide as part of the Tasting Australia festival. We had a great time meeting many Hollick and Coonawarra fans, and thank all of those for dropping by to see us.
As part of this we ran a competition for people to sign up to our mailing list, and its with great pleasure that we announce that Jenny Gyss from South Brighton in SA won a 1.5L magnum of the 2004 Hollick Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot. We hope you enjoy Jenny! Cheers!!
Iconic Dinner Enjoyed by all
The Hollick Icon Launch dinner was proclaimed a great success on Saturday 21st April 2012. Kate and Mel Hollick, winemaker Matt Caldersmith, assistant winemaker Joe Cory, vineyard manager Stuey Sharam and sales manager David Greenwood were joined by around 30 Hollick supporters for the magnificent 5 course degustation meal.
Highlights on the night were varied amongst those attending, including the Beachport Snapper with the 2010 Hollick Bond Road Chardonnay. The pork belly served with the 1999 and 2008 Hollick Neilson's Block Merlot was a crowd pleaser and was followed by a venison dish enjoyed with the 1999 and 2008 Hollick Wilgha Shiraz. The local lamb was also a highlight with all enjoying tasting the 1991 Hollick Ravenswood Cabernet Sauvignon along with the new release 2008 vintage. Finally, the night finished off with a cheese plate and glass of The Nectar 2011, which matched superbly to the ducs de champagne triple cream.

Adelaide Cellar Door Festival
Wendy Hollick and new sales manager David Greenwood recently attended the Cellar Door Wine Fesitval at the Adelaide Convention Centre. The event ran from Friday 24th February through to Sunday 26th February 2012. Wendy Hollick commented, "It was great to see so many Coonawarra and Hollick fans throughout the weekend. We thank them for their ongoing support." The event showcases South Australian wine regions to the Adelaide public and is a great opportunity for the Adelaide crowd to taste some of Coonawarra's finest and remind them of what's available in Coonawarrra.
Variety Great Grand Final Luncheon a success!
Hollick Wines were delighted to be the wine sponsor for the Variety AFL Great Grand Final Luncheon held on Wednesday 28th September at the Crown Palladium, Melbourne.
Picture Perfect Tutorial a hit at Arts Festival
Jo Fincham's Picture Perfect Tutorial, held at Hollick Wines as part of the events during the 2011 Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival, proved to be a hit!
There was a great turn out for the very popular workshop with close to 40 people also on a waiting list eager to learn some hints and tips from Jo. Mel Hollick sat in on the tutorial as Jo's assistant and was very excited by how much she learnt and was very eager to put her newfound camera skills to work straight away!
